the quest for the perfect car!

jojie and i were finally able to buy a car of our own! second-hand pero amin talaga! yipee!!! we've been planning and wanting to buy a car for ages but we figured we should make sure first that we can really afford one before plunging into debt! hehe! anyway, the quest for the car started before the wedding but with the wedding expenses, we said we'll just wait. sabi nga ng papa ko palagi, wag munang kayanin pag hindi kaya. so hintay muna kami. a couple of months ago, jojie realized that i really needed a car of my own (honey, if you're reading this, take note, it's my car! :) i used my dad's car kasi and although pwede ko naman gamitin yun kasi hindi pa naman nagda-drive ang mga kapatid ko at may isa pang sasakyan si papa, mas mabuti na rin na makabili kami ng sarili) and the quest for perfect car started. at first, we were thinking na bili na lang kami ng mura lang na second-hand. so hanap-hanap kami. wala kaming mahanap na gusto namin. actually si jojie may mga nagustuhan pero ako ayoko. either masyadong malaki (na hindi ko kakayaning i-drive) or masyadong
luma (i didn't want a car older than 10years) or masyadong mahal (self-explanatory.. hehe!). next, we focused our attention to brand-new cars so we went to honda and mazda and inquired. ang gaganda pero ang mahal!!! exagg! i can't imagine shelling out 15K monthly for amortization. no way! then we compromised. we realized we'll be better off if we go half-way... second-hand pero hindi masyadong luma so we were looking into 1999-2000 cars. so hanap uli. tingin-tingin. there was even this 1999 white honda that we saw which jojie really liked. he was going to pay for the reservation fee na. buti na lang i called my dad and asked him to go the shop to look over the car first. pabayad na talaga si jojie but we chose to wait for my dad. masyadong namahalan yung dad ko so we told the owner na babalikan na lang namin. we did go back after a couple of hours and asked for the terms and we realized hindi pala namin afford! hahaha! after that, i was resigned to the fact that we were not yet financially ready to buy a car. but my very persrvering husband still continued his search for the just-right car and he told me he found one sa internet. nasa website raw ng honda, pre-owned rin (a fancy term for second-hand! haha!) pero sa casa. so he checked it out and he liked it! so i checked it out and i liked it din! it's a 2000 green honda civic na VTEC (sorry, tama ba yung sequencing ko?) kaya lang same price, actually mas mahal pa ng kaunti than the other honda car so i thought hindi pa rin namin afford. but when he sat down and computed, we realized we can afford it, with the same terms as the last car!!! ang galing talaga! so we submitted na the requirements and voila, the car was released after two weeks!

syempre super excited ang aking asawa so he had different stuff (for lack of a better term) installed
immediately. so meron na alarm, extra matting, tint, and leather seats. haaay! you should see jojie. he's so happy. and i'm so happy seeing him so happy. :)

kakatuwa pa kasi sabi ng mama ko nung nalagyan na ng tint yung kotse, "ang ganda na ng kotse niyo, mukha na kayong mayaman!" pero syempre alam nating lahat na mukha lang yun! hahaha!
