another "hmph! grooms!" moment

as i wrote in my previous post, i love cooking and i love cooking for jojie. lately, though, because of our killer schedules, i have not been able to cook for him for some time now. tapos siya naman, because he lives alone and because he does so many things din, puro canned goods ang nakakain niya.

last sunday, i actually had time on my hands (not a lot but enough to consider cooking). since i knew jojie will be arriving in an hour, i planned a simple menu. i cooked breaded chicken, made coleslaw, made sure there was gravy for the chicken, and simmered mushroom soup. when he saw what i prepared, sabi niya, "wow! dami naman!" so natuwa ako kasi my fiance appreciated what i prepared for him. and then he came up to me, massaged my shoulders and asked, in a very sweet voice, "hon, pwede ba mag-request?" i turned to him and replied, "sure, ano yun?" sabi niya, "pwede ba magpaluto ng itlog? yung sunny-side-up?"

after spending an hour slaving in the kitchen, he wanted estralladong itlog??? grrrr!!!!

in fairness though, he ate everything that i prepared. naubos niya nga yung chicken eh. haaaay!
